Continuation- Lips

Halo beauties, Continuation on "Tips To Guide You When Buying Your Makeup For Your Perfect Skin tone". 2) Lips: Earth tones, neutrals, pinks and dark burgundy instantly add glam to lips. For a more natural look, dab on some lip-gloss. Choose a lip liner that is close to the shade of your lip-gloss or lipstick to avoid a dark outline. HOW TO HIDE DARK LIPS: a. Before starting with the makeup see if your lips are dry or not. Dry skin in the lips can spoil the makeup and make it appear chapped. If the skin on the lips are dry then gently scrub with brown sugar or lip scrub and then softly wipe it with a towel or wipes. b. Apply a thin layer of lip balm to soften the skin. Leave it for 2 minutes and then start with the lip makeup. Choose a dark colored lipstick or lip gloss to hide dark lips. Light lip colors can make the lips appear clearly. If you want to get pink lips, go for nude colors or pink lip color. Glossy shades help you get the chic look! c. Apply light colored foundation cream on your lips and then draw a thin line on the lips with a lip liner matching with the lipstick or gloss color. You can also apply little concealer under lip makeup to hide dark lips. Rub a finger in concealer and then apply it on your lips. Now apply lipstick or gloss on the lips. d. If you are applying lipstick, follow it with a gloss for a lasting look. Avoid using bright colors and shimmery shades on lips. Stay tuned for more and please do leave your comments below. Jummykay

Tips To Guide You When Buying Your Makeup

Hi Beauties, In the next few days i will be sharing "Tips To Guide You When Buying Your Makeup For Your Perfect Skin tone". 1) Face: Avoid makeup that is lighter than your skin , as it can make skin look chalky. Yellow-based foundations work best for women with darker skin. The goal is to see the makeup disappear after applying it on your skin, with no visible boundary between. Test foundation colors in natural light -- if you have trouble finding the right color, try mixing two shades (one darker than your natural color and one lighter). When searching for blush or bronzer, brown and copper complement Dark/African Skin tones. A touch of shimmer and contour powder will highlight cheekbones nicely. Use powder that would blend into your skin and give you that natural look i.e not making your face appear too light or too dark than your shoulder. The powder should also complement the foundation used. Stay tuned for more! Jummykay
